Abstract remit

We welcome abstracts for poster and oral presentation for this unique conference from child health researchers from a wide range of disciplines and specialties, including clinicians, non-clinical researchers, nurses, allied health professionals, pharmacists, dentists, and health care scientists.

All abstracts submitted to the conference must be focussed on  translational research improving prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of conditions affecting children and young people. Any disease area can be presented in any of the themes detailed below.

This theme invites abstracts showcasing innovation in paediatric therapeutic development including:

-Novel biomarkers

-Innovative trial Methodologies

-Gene therapies

-Technological interventions.

This theme invites abstracts showcasing digital, computational, and device‑based innovations transforming paediatric healthcare and research. Abstracts may relate to

-data science methods,

-Clinical technologies

-Tools enabling diagnosis, monitoring, or treatment.

-Data governance and SDEs

This theme welcomes research that applies genomic, molecular, and systems‑level approaches to improve understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of paediatric conditions, including:

-Functional Genomics

-Multi‑omics (transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, epigenomics, microbiomics) and integrative analyses

-Lipidomics

This theme encompasses research focused on optimising the safety, efficacy, and appropriate use of therapies in children. Submissions may include

-preclinical work,

-clinical trials,

-Pharmacology studies

-Community studies
