Sam is the Chair of the University Department of Paediatrics, designated Director of the Cambridge Children’s Research Institute, and Honorary Consultant Paediatric Oncologist at Addenbrooke’s, Cambridge. Sam trained in Oxford, London, and Cambridge has built research effort into the origins of childhood cancer, using a variety of genomic approaches. On the clinical research side Sam has been spearheading efforts to examine the utility of cancer whole genome sequencing in the clinic.
