David Lowery is Head of BRC Operations at Great Ormond Street Hospital, leading the operational delivery of the NIHR Great Ormond Street Hospital Biomedical Research Centre. He brings over 25 years’ experience across academia and the NHS, spanning academic research, NIHR infrastructure and senior research leadership roles. David has led major operational transformations in research funding and delivery, including contributing to successful national infrastructure bids and supporting multi‑million‑pound NIHR portfolios, with his work helping to drive growth in contracted NIHR programme funding to over £20 million through strengthened governance, partnerships and delivery capability.
